It is apparent to me that there are many problems in the education system in this country. Whether it is along the lines of “teaching the test” or biased teaching, I will attempt to focus on some of my main issues with the educational system on the secondary level. As it has no true effect to those reading, I will also include my ideas and examples of what we as prospective (or current) teachers can do to change these issues and make them into strengths for the upcoming adults for our society.
I feel this is an important and often ignored issue in education. Although I have often heard it as “collaborative teaching”, it seems like the solutions to such problems are rarely discussed. I am supportive of personal choices for change and the betterment of all education. It seems like this should be a good start for the rest of this particular blogging semester.

I definitely agree on your ideas that there is biased teaching and too much emphasis on teaching the test. It seems that there have always been problems with the education system, and the programs that have developed as of late are only adding to the problem and creating more confusion. What I would like to hear is what direction would you like to see the education system go in such as straying away from standardized testing or keeping with it.
